—The last time the Eagles were in Tampa was October 13th, 2013.
Just like the current Vegas odds, the Eagles were a 3 point favorite.
Oddly enough, it was also a match-up of two back up quarterbacks. Nick Foles was starting for an injured Michael Vick, and Mike Glennon was in for Josh Freeman.
The head coaches were Greg Schiano and Chip Kelly.
Foles was unconscious in this game. He was 22/31 for 296 yards, 3 TDs, 0 Ints, and had a QB rating of 133.3. He also added a rushing TD.
Desean Jackson, who will be in a Bucs uniform this time around (pending concussion protocol) had 6 catches for 64 yards and 2 TDs.
The Eagles won 31-20.
—In 2012 Foles also started in Tampa Bay.
Shockingly, he had a rushing TD in this game as well.
He also lit it up through the air going 32/51 for 381 yards, and 2 TDs including the game winner...
This was Andy Reid's final win with the Eagles.
—The last time these two teams played was November 22nd, 2015 in Philly. The Bucs routed the Eagles 45-17.
This was a hideous performance by the Chip Kelly/Mark Sanchez led Eagles. I'm sure Lane Johnson, Brandon Graham, Malcolm Jenkins, and Fletcher Cox remember this beat down.
Eagles vs Fitzpatrick
The Eagles are 3-1-1 vs Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick was the starter for the Bengals in the November 16th, 2008 tie game (totally didn’t remember that.)
His win came as a member of the Bills back in week 5 of 2011.
His last start against the Eagles was for the Jets on September 27th, 2015 in Philly. The Eagles won that game 24-17.
Foles and Fitzpatrick faced off once in Houston on November 2nd, 2014. Foles was 9/12 in this game before getting injured and replaced by Mark Sanchez.
Fitzpatrick went 13/27 for 203 yards, 2 TDs and 1 int.
The Eagles won 31-21.
