I've been giving draft grades for almost two weeks now, and in the process, I've seen players rising up and falling down draft boards.
5 players who are rising...
1. Christian McCaffrey
This is the second year in a row that McCaffrey makes this list.
When I started giving draft grades he was a late 2nd-early 3rd round pick.
Now run CMC is a mid 2nd - late 1st round pick.
I fell victim to the McCaffrey hype train. He will either be a home run, or a loud out. I don't like him in the first round round at all, you can make a much safer pick. But if you want the dynamic RB, it looks like you're going to have to get him in the mid second round.
2. Josh Gordon
The hype train is real. Gordon has gone from an 6th-8th round pick to a 3rd-5th round pick.
I personally think anywhere before round 5 is too high of a price to pay. Landry is clearly the first option in Cleveland. I know the talent is there, but he's really risky as a 3rd, 4th or even 5th round pick.
3. Royce Freeman
Dunfee mentioned him in his darkhorses article from last week, but I doubt he is taking him in the third round. That's how high Freeman is being drafted in some leagues.
He could be the breakout star of 2018, but you'll have to pay at least a 5th round pick if you want him.
4. Adrian Peterson
I think this one is a little ridiculous.
AP is now being drafted as early as round 7. If you want AP it will cost you at least a 9th round pick.
5. Randall Cobb
I've seen Cobb go as high as round 5. He's consistently going anywhere from 5-8. I don't get it.
5 players who are falling...
1. Robby Anderson
Apparently nobody is buying into Robby Anderson.
He has been going anywhere from round 8-12. I personally think he is a steal that late.
2. Kenny Stills
Right now Stills is the # 1 reciever for the Dolphins. I know he's Kenny Stills and probably stinks, but in rounds 13-16 you could do worse.
3. Sony Michel
Michel has been falling into round 9. It's tough to figure out what Belichick will do with his running backs, but he has talent.
4. Emmanuel Sanders
Sanders had a decent year with no QB. Now he has a least a capable guy to throw him the ball, but is being drafted in the 7th-8th round consistently.
5. Allen Robinson
People must be scared by either the ACL injury, or Trubisky, or both.
A-Rob has been falling into the 7th round. He is consistently available in rounds 5-7.
