I made my prediction on the podcast and I am sticking with it.
Brady vs. Foles is the ultimate mismatch... I get it.
Sure if Brady puts an an all-time great performance, it's going to be a long night.
But this isn't one of the great Patriot teams that we have been accustomed to seeing.
The Eagles will win the battle at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and that's how you win football games.
The Eagles have been the best team in the league all year long!! I am 16-2 picking Eagles games this season (14-4 ATS) and I truly believe, that at the end of the night, the Eagles will be hoisting the Lombardi trophy!
It's almost here and the City has this unsettling calmness to it. Most people that I've talked to seem to still be in disbelief that we are actually in the Super Bowl, let alone with Nick Foles at the helm.
Look, if you told me at the start of season we were making the Super Bowl and Nick Foles was the starter I'd prolly tell you to go have another beer. Honestly, I feel horrible for Carson and it has to eat him alive knowing he can't go to war with his guys when he's essentially one of the main factors of why they're in this position. But being the class act #11 is, he is backing Foles 100% and putting selfish football aside because he knows this city and his teammates deserve it. Defense is going to win us this game. If Brady gets in a groove just start the buses. They need to keep him uncomfortable from the start and never let up. Foles looked unbelievable in the NFC title game and I couldn't believe my eyes. But we were playing checkers against Keenum. Now we have to play chess with Brady and Belichek, but I think Doug is ready and prepared to execute one of the greatest team victories in Super Bowl history. Sunday night Foles vs Brady, Destiny vs Dynasty!! Big Dick Nick and the city of brotherly love have a date with destiny this Sunday! My prediction, Eagles bring Lombardi down Broad Street!!
It's hard to believe after piles of injuries we are preparing for an Eagles Super Bowl, but here we are. You’re going to hear destiny vs dynasty thrown around a lot before and during this game. I don’t think that is quite fitting. This Eagles team is young, talented and led by a coach I have to admit I was 100% wrong on. This Philadelphia team is destined to be a dynasty, no matter the outcome on Sunday.
Any time you play New England you must play mistake free. The Special teams unit scares me, they need to be better. If they are mistake free and Nick Foles gives us a game somewhere between Atlanta and Minnesota then by God I think we’re going to witness history. I trust this defense with my life and I believe they can hold the Pats to 20 or less.
You got to beat the best to be the best and that’s what the Birds will do on Sunday....We will rely on the defensive front to get pressure on Brady and ultimately win the game for us. Foles is coming in with a ton of confidence and will get in a flow as the game goes on. The Eagles will dethrone the G.O.A.T.
The time has finally come! The Super Bowl is days away and this day has been on my mind since February 7th 2005.
The Eagles completely dominated the season in royal fashion and have earned their spot. This past week has been an emotional roller coaster of pure happiness mixed with a lot of questions and concerns. Going against the squad that beat us in 2005, which hasn't slowed down since, I'm without a doubt nervous. I've come to the conclusion that stats go out the window when the Super Bowl arrives- Patriots defy physics in games like this. Eagles have formed into a close knit family. They're solid on both sides of the ball, from the defensive line, secondary, to running game and receivers. Foles completely proved me and many others wrong torching the number one defense 38-7. I don't expect another crazy performance BUT a performance to get the job done. Eagles win this game on a miracle play. A Jake Elliot field goal let's us ride off into the sunset . See everyone at parade Wednesday- or perhaps on broad st the night of.
I expect it to be an extremely stressful day. Tom Brady is the GOAT and at any given moment he can take over the game. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. However, even though everything in my body wants to say Foles can’t beat Brady, I think he can. The defense will step up at the end of the game to force a turnover, and Nick Foles will be named MVP. Also, Jake Elliot has been a stud all year, expect a late field goal from him to potentially win this thing.
