I am still trying to process what exactly transpired on Sunday night in South Philadelphia.
It may even take a few more days to sink in, but the Philadelphia Eagles are going to the Super Bowl.
I'm sorry, but not even the most positive fan saw this run coming.
How could you?
A lot of people were wrong. A lot of people owe apologies.
I am on the list of people who owe an apology.
I am sorry.
I was blinded by Howie 1.0 and the Chip Kelly debacle, and refused to give you, Howie 2.0 a fair chance.
I felt that you were playing fantasy football, and didn't think you were capable of building a Super Bowl team.
Well, you were.
The first sign should have been in 2012 when you drafted Fletcher Cox, Mychal Kendricks, Vinny Curry and Nick Foles.
That draft was the start of what is now a rock solid foundation.
The next sign should have been in 2013 when you drafted Lane Johnson instead of doing something stupid like drafting Dion Jordan. Oh yea, you also drafted Zach Ertz as well.
But after the Chip debacle I was sour on the entire organization.
Then came the Wentz trade, and the signs started to show again.
The Sam Bradford trade may be one of the best trades in the history of sports.
You turned this...
These under-the-radar signings on a meaningless day in March..
Turned into this..
Every player that scored a point for the Eagles on Sunday, wasn't on the team last season!
You even found the right kicker!
You traded for a star running back at the trade deadline! Who else does this???
Howie, you are the executive of the year, and you deserve it.
From the janitors closet to the Super Bowl, this is a true success story.
Thank you for building this team!
Thank you for Doug Pederson!
One more win and someone much more important than me will also owe you an apology..
