I made my prediction on this week’s podcast and I am sticking with it. I believe this team will come out isnspired and ready to show the world that they are still a championship caliber team. The Giants have mailed it in and I can’t see them putting up much of a fight especially if they go down early.
If the Eagles don’t show up, they will hear my loud voice because I will be getting a close look at the team inside MetLife stadium today.
A classic NFC east matchup on a cold day in Jersey. Eagles come out hot on defense but slow on offense. As it turns out, the Giants season is over and they no longer tackle in the second half. This works out nicely for the eagles 3 headed monster.
I’m trying to be optimistic about the whole situation. Losing Carson Wentz is the worst thing that could’ve happened to the Eagles. He’s not just someone you replace overnight, but hear me out. Nick Foles once was an offensive Pro-Bowl MVP and Nick Foles has played in Philly before he knows what the heat feels like if he doesn’t perform. He’s accustomed to this fan base and knows that we demand excellence and nothing short of it. I wouldn’t count the Birds out just yet the defense is still in tact and still disruptive. The offense is very talented we just need Foles to manage the game and most importantly we still have Douggie P, I was all over Doug last year and rightfully so his play calling was suspect. This year he’s been immensely better and as a former backup QB in the NFL he’ll know just how to dial up the script to make Nick successful.
I love the Eagles this week against a damaged Giants team that can’t seem to pull their head out of their ass. Then we get the struggling Oakland Raiders at home on Christmas, then finish up with the Cowgirls at home. My x-factor for this game is Jay Ajayi. I think the Eagles roll at Metlife!
The eagles will come out firing. Doug has full confidence in Foles and I would not be surprised to see them throw the ball early and often. The Giants defense is not good and that’s putting It nicely. There is no reason the Eagles can’t air it out against this team. The return of Ertz will help. There’s also no reason we can’t run the ball against this team. I expect to see a lot of points scored for the Eagles. On the flip side, this is a perfect game for the defense to rebound after a loss to Seattle and a win while still allowing 30+ points in LA. I expect lots of pressure on Eli all day. After this game Eli will probably wish his interim coach didn’t insert him back into the line up cause the eagles DL is going to be a serious problem for the Giants. I honestly don’t expect the Giants to score. Eagles win this game easily and come Monday every single analyst will be talking about if we can win it all with Foles. We can. Enjoy the beatdown.
