The Eagles are 8-1 and regardless of what happens today they will still have the best record in the NFL entering week 11.
While all is right with the world here in Philadelphia, there is important football being played today.
Here are the games that we are keeping an eye on, and the result that would be best for the Birds!
New Orleans (-2.5) @ Buffalo 1:00
This should be a very competitive game today.
The Saints are playing as good of football as any team in the league right now.
The Bills are looking to bounce back from a tough loss last Thursday night and make a push toward their first playoff birth since 1999!
What we want: ABills win.
The Saints are 6-2 and right on the Eagles heels for the number 1 seed.
The Saints may be the Eagles biggest threat in the NFC at the moment. I would much rather play them in Philly than at the dome. A Bills W would help the cause.
Minnesota (-2) @ Washington 1:00
This should also be a very competitive game. Both teams are riding high. Minnesota is coming off of a bye and sit in first place in the NFC North. The Redskins are coming off of a huge win at Seattle and look to make a playoff push.
What we want: A Redskins Win.
The Eagles have a luxury here thanks to their two wins over the Redskins this season.
It’s odd but a Redskins win does help the Eagles in the long run. Minnesota is 6-2 and has a favorable schedule down the stretch. It’s all about home field for the Birds.
Green Bay @ Chicago (-4) 1:00
Not the sexiest of matchups but still an important game when it comes to the NFC playoff picture.
The Eagles play Chicago at home in two weeks so It will be interesting to see if they can continue to play well.
What we want: AChicago win.
I still have this feeling that Green Bay can sneak into the playoffs and Aaron Rodgers can return. Let Chicago finish them off now!
Dallas @ Atlanta (-3.5) 4:25
This is the best game of the day. Atlanta’s season is one the line, while Dallas is fighting to keep pace with the Eagles. It will be interesting to see how the Cowboys play without Zeke. All eyes will be on this matchup.
What we want: A Falcons win.
I feel that the Eagles are a better team than the Cowboys and Falcons, but this is an important game for Eagle fans nonetheless.
A Cowboys loss would put them 3 games back in the division (5-4) and inch the Eagles even closer to an NFC east title.
If the Eagles take care of their business it doesn’t matter who wins this game, but a Dallas loss wouldn’t hurt.
This should be a stress free day for Eagles fans. Just sit back, relax and watch these teams beat each other up. The Birds control their own destiny, but a little help would go a long way!
